NANOWRIMO Chicago has events to keep you going…

This excerpt is from the local NANOWRIMO group — if you need to get away from your desk, but still need to write, and want to get jazzed by working with fellow writers, this is the week to do it.

Start out the day in Logan Square, at New Wave Coffee on N. Milwaukee Ave, from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Your host will be Zbluesun, and parents with kids in school, the non 9-5 workers, and those who are currently unemployed are encouraged to come out and get your writing on!

The Aurora Public Library will host an event at their main branch starting at 6 PM, for those out in the far west.

A little further north? Try the Schaumburg write-in at the Borders on E. Golf Rd. They’ll meet from 7 to 11 PM.

Or, come by our Official Write-in at the Book Cellar on N. Lincoln Ave, from 7 to 9 PM

Take a lunch break and join us for a Loop write-in at the Starbucks at N. LaSalle and Lake St, from 12:30 to 1:30pm.

Later that night, if you’re on the north side, come on up to Edgewater for our Official Write-in at Flourish Bakery Café, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.

As Thanksgiving draws closer, start the day off write with another write-in hosted by Zbluesun in Logan Square, at the New Wave Coffee shop from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

Or, as you wind down your day, log online and join our weekly Online Write-in in the chatroom from 6:30 PM until whenever we all go to bed!

A NANOWRIMo member has graciously offered her apartment for a Thanksgiving-day write-in and pot-luck! Stop by with your favorite food to share, and relax and get some writing done! I’ve removed her name her for privacy – email me for the location.
